Remember there are Q11.44 (Guatemalan Quetzal) in GBP1.00.
I hope you enjoy my top 5:
Once you have tried British milk there is no way you can go back to UTH or powder milk Dairy is a big industry in UK: Milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, clotted cream are loved and consumed every day. Average person in England drinks 1.5 lts of milk in a week. 4 pints of whole milk (2.27 lts) cost only £1.00, witch will only buy you 1 lt of milk in Guatemala. A saving or 56% in England. |
I couldn't believe it when I bought my used car in England! I just did a quick search in Autotrader UK and I found an Alfa Romeo for only £75.00 (that is Q858.00 only!), ok so it is 2003 and it has 62,000 miles, but still you can buy amazingly cheap cars in England that you would not find in Guatemala! So Happy buying! |
Bread has been a staple food in England since you can buy a loaf of white bread from 45p in England. That is more than half price from Guatemala. But our staple food is corn tortillas, so we don't eat as much bread as the British. |
Believe it or not... salt is cheaper in England Such an everyday item, we use it to cook every day and I was so surprised then I got 1 kg of table salt for only 25 pens! That means that Salt in Guatemala is almost twice as much as in England. (£0.44/kg in Guatemala) So enjoy but remember not tu consume more than your six grams recommended a day! |
Paracetamol is the most common painkiller in Britain Last but not least, paracetamol is produced in England like candy. In Guatemala, we call it acetaminofen and we have to import it from India so it is £0.56 for 16 caplets. In England the cost of paracetamol is less than half, only 23 pence and it used to cost 15p in 2012! By law, you can only buy 2 boxes at a time, but read more about this here. |
If you want to read more about Guatemalan prices go to PreciosMundi.
Have a good weekend everybody and thanks for reading.
